Mr Chuck Cheng, founder and CEO of AppoTech Ltd, has over 20 years of IC design and management experience in Silicon Valley, USA. He established AppoTech in 2003 in Hong Kong with the aim of nurturing local engineers.  Mr Cheng has been active in technology industry and he has participated in various consulting bodies. The contribution of Mr Cheng has been recognised by a number of industry awards. In addition to the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year China (EOY China) 2011, Mr Cheng has received “Excellence in Achievement of World Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs Award in 2010” and “Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards - Most Promising Entrepreneur Award in 2009”.
AppoTech Ltd is a fabless IC company which offers high performance, highly reliable and cost-effective system-on-chip (SoC). The company provides one-stop solution from IC design to application development in the area of video, audio, telecommunications and home appliances such as digital photo frames, wireless audio devices, Skype/USB phones, baby monitors and automotive MP3.
With its headquarter located at the Hong Kong Science Park, AppoTech’s emphasis is on its research and design capabilities and its success depends strongly on its engineering team. The company chose Hong Kong as its strategic base and also has operations in Mainland China (Shenzhen and Zhuhai) and Taiwan to provide sales and technical support for customers in the Asia Pacific region.  For two consecutive years (2010 and 2011), AppoTech has been awarded Deloitte Technology Fast 50 China and is recognized as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in China. 

Dr. Roy Chi Ping Chung BBS JP is a Co-founder of Techtronic Industries Company Limited and currently the Non-Executive Director of the Company. 
Dr Chung holds five Doctorate Degrees including a Doctor of Engineering Degree from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, a Doctor of Business Administration from the City University of Macau, an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration by the Lingnan University, an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the University of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. He was also appointed as an Industrial Professor by the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
He was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) Medal by the Hong Kong SAR Government effective on 1 July 2011. He was also appointed as Justice of Peace by the Hong Kong SAR Government effective on 1 July 2005 and won the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Award in 1997. In Nov 2014, he was further awarded the Industrialist of the Year.
Dr. Chung is highly dedicated to the advancement of the industry. He is currently the Honorary President of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Chairman of Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Trade Development Council. He holds positions on a number of HKSAR Government advisory committees and is also an active member of many social committees and associations. He is the member of the Advisory Committee on Innovation and Technology, HKSAR, the Court Chairman of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Honorary Chairman of The Boys’ & Girls’ Club Association of Hong Kong and the Founder of Bright Future Charitable Foundation.

Dr James FOK
Dr. FOK is currently the CEO of Brave Creation Limited, a company focusing on helping technology companies find sweet spot for fast growth, both for new start up companies as well as for companies planning for getting publicly listed. He has worked e-commerce, digital marketing, robotics, IOT, bio-tech, semiconductors and consumer electronics companies. Before Brave Creation, Dr. FOK has served as the Deputy Executive Director of Hong Kong Productivity Council and as an Executive Director of an electronics company that is publicly listed in HK.
For community service, Dr. FOK has served as a member of the Research Grant Council, and as a member of the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation (now renamed as Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation and Vocational Qualification, HKCAAVQ). He is still active in assessing Learning Programmes, Programme Areas and Institutional Review for HKCAAVQ, a process that he finds bears a lot of resemblance with the assessment of technology companies.
Dr. FOK holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Philosophy from University of Hong Kong, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree from University of London. He is also a SEP graduation of the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Peter HUNG
Mr. Peter C. Hung is a seasoned executive in the world of TMT (Telecom, Media and Technology), having spent his entire 30+ years of professional career in all three but highly integrated segments of the business in both United States and Hong Kong. 

Mr. Hung is currently the President and Chief Representative of Forbes Global Holdings based out of Forbes Media headquarter in New Jersey. Forbes Global Holdings, an investment holding company, acquired the majority control of Forbes Media, a 99-year start-up championing the entrepreneurial capitalism spirit and a leader in the business print and digital media. Prior to moving to New Jersey, Mr. Hung was the Chief Operating Officer for China Runking Financing Group Holdings, a subsidiary of the public-listed Credit China Holdings Limited in Hong Kong, which focuses on fast growing micro-lending and P2P business in China. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer for China Motion Telecom International, also a publicly-listed company under the same investment group in Hong Kong for over 8 years. He advised the board on investment in various telecom and technology ventures. 
Before recruited by New World Telecom to head up its marketing operation in Hong Kong, Mr. Hung was the division head with AT&T Local Service & Lucent Technologies Messaging Group in California and served as global marketing chief for Terayon Communications Systems, a cable broadband platform provider based out of Silicon Valley, California. 
Mr. Hung currently serves on the board of director for Communications Association of Hong Kong and a start-up telecom service provider in Hong Kong and China. He was a vice president and board member of AAMA PRD Chapter prior to moving to New Jersey. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Marketing at The Chinese University of Hong Kong where he graduated with a first class honors degree in Marketing and Computer Science. Mr. Hung also holds a MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Certificate in Strategic Marketing in Information Technology from Stanford University. 

A veteran in the private equity/venture capital industry in China with over 20 years of experiences, S.C. Mak co-founded FUEL Capital in 2009, focusing on the cleantech and healthcare sectors.  Since late 2014, he has been an Operation Partner at CGP Tech Fund, based in Beijing.

Previously, S.C. was Managing Director, Private Equity, at Asset Managers (Asia), after over nine years with Walden International, first as a Vice President and then Managing Director.  Before that, he was Director, Direct Investments, at AIG Investment Corporation (Asia), and earlier, Director, China Investments at the First Eastern Group of Hong Kong, which organized and managed the first batch of direct investment funds for China.

Starting his career in China business with the Tian An Group in 1985, S.C. was initially involved in China trade and then in industrial investments.  He gained regional exposure in the early 1990’s with the merchant banking unit of the First Pacific Group as an Associate Director, engaging in mezzanine and quasi-equity financing in South East Asia.

Active in industry and community services, S.C. is Vice Chairman of the PRC Committee of Hong Kong Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, having served on the Executive Committee and chaired the PRC Committee earlier.  He was a Governor of China Venture Capital Association from 2005 to 2008.  S.C. also serves on the Admission Panel of the Hong Kong Science Park Technology Incubation Program.  Previously, he was a member of the pan-Pearl River Delta panel of the Hong Kong SAR Government Central Policy Unit, and of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Advisory Committees on Technology & Innovation, and ICT Services.  S.C. is also a board member of Hong Kong University Graduates Association Education Foundation.  In addition, he is an independent director of ChiNext-listed Shenzhen Sinosun Technology Co Ltd.

S.C. Mak earned his MBA from The University of Western Ontario in Canada on a Commonwealth Scholarship, and a B.Sc. (Industrial Engineering) (Hons) degree from The University of Hong Kong.

Henry WONG

Henry Wong has been a prolific and successful venture investor, serial entrepreneur, and Stanford University Mentor in Silicon Valley during the last 35 years.  After working for various Fortune 500 companies, Henry channeled his entrepreneurial spirit to go and “change the world.”  Frustrated with existing sloppy edge technologies, Henry founded, seed-funded, and exited five successful startups, including SS8 Networks (ADC Telecom), IP Communications (Nokia), XaQti Semiconductor (Vitesse), CNet Technology (IPO), and Combinet (Cisco Systems). He is always the founder, chairman, first president, and CEO.
Realizing that “money makes the world go round,” Henry founded Diamond TechVentures, a Trans Pacific Venture Investment firm. In parallel, he was also the venture partner to Guy Kawasaki’s Garage Technology Ventures, and before that, Crystal Ventures.With the fast growth in Silicon Valley and the ever-changing landscape of technological advancement, a different ecosystem is needed to accommodate growth and accelerate prosperity. To address this, Henry founded TechLAB Innovation Center, where he coined the term, “Find it, Fix it & Fund it.” Pre-qualified startups or companies that Henry continues to start are incubated inside this accelerator under a secured environment. A full-time IP lawyer processes the filing of new patentable technologies on-site.
The Singapore government’s SPRING agency funded Henry’s iStartUP program to train Singapore entrepreneurs. The Hong Kong government honored Henry as one of the “Game Changer” returnees with the Home Coming Tipping Point award. The IT Minister of the Korean government recognizes Henry’s continuous contribution to their Knowledge Innovation Center (KIC), and named him an advisor to South Korea.
Henry holds a Business degree from the University of Utah, an MBA in Telecom Management from Golden Gate University, and is a Mentor in Stanford University. He was a finalist for the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year Award.”

Mr. M. Y. Wong is currently the Chairman and Director of InnoLink Investment Limited. He is also the Director, or Non Executive Director of a number of Technology companies. Prior to this, he was the CEO of Elec & Eltek Display Technology Limited and Senior Vice President of Royal Philips Electronics where he has gained over 35 years of Global Industrial Operations experience, supply base and technology development.
Mr. Wong has served as a member of several Government Boards and Committees for more than 35 years.  He was a member of Innovation and Technology Fund Vetting Committee, member of Assessment Panel of SERAP of ITC Hong Kong SAR, Director of Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre, Council Member & Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong Productivity Council, Director of the Hong Kong Industrial Estates Corporation, Director of Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, Member of Advisory Committee of Innovation and Technology of HKTDC, Member of Panel on Promoting Testing & Certification Service in Environmental Protection Trade of HKCTC, Member of the working group on Intellectual Property Trading of Intellectual Property Department.  At  present, he is the Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association, Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers Association, Chairman of Department Advisory Committee for Department of System Engineering and Engineering Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Member of Departmental Advisory Committee for Department of Electronics Engineering of City University of Hong Kong, Fellow Member of Hong Kong Green Strategy Alliance, Board Advisor of International Intellectual Property Commercialization Council Hong Kong Chapter,  Chairman of the CreateSmart Initiative ( CSI ) Vetting Committee of Create Hong Kong, ex-officio member of the Advisory Committee on Innovation and Technology of the Hong Kong SAR, and Chairman of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute ( ASTRI ).
